Dear CGD Community,

I am excited for my first year serving Clarion-Goldfield-Dows as the district Superintendent. CGD has a dedicated and professional staff that focus on helping our students learn and grow. It is a privilege and an honor to have to opportunity to lead the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School District!

I graduated from Coe College in 2010 with a Bachelors Degree in Elementary Education and later received my Masters in Education from Viterbo University. I have also completed the Superintendent Certification program at the University of Northern Iowa. In my career, I have served CGD as an Elementary (3 years) and Middle School (1 year) Principal, Eagle Grove CSD as an Elementary Principal for 3 years, and prior to that I taught Physical Education for 10 years in the Clear Creek Amana CSD.

My wife, Beth works at Iowa Specialty Hospital. We have 2 current Cowboys, Coleman and Corbin, and 2 dogs, Reggie and Stormy. My wife and I enjoy doing house projects, traveling, and cheering on the Hawkeyes! I am also a proud member of the Clarion Lions Club.
