Anyone that knows me knows of my love for the game of Baseball. Through the years, the game has provided me with many different opportunities to travel across Iowa, the United States, and the World. Whether it be as a former player, an umpire, or just as a fan of the game, there are few things that bring me much more happiness than being around the game.
However, much like the connection I felt to the teachers when I was growing up in Slater, Iowa, the one thing that does energize me more is seeing a student ready and eager to learn. And with that, a teacher, principal, or other member of our team ready to make sure that learning is facilitated.
Over the past two plus years, I have had the opportunity to witness the growth of our community and the individual growth of our students. I have seen the smiling faces in our hallways and the hard work of staff ready to help. I have witnessed the great community spirit and support for our students, schools, and communities.
With that, I am reminded daily of the tremendous opportunity that we have in our school district to work with our students. Whether they be from Clarion, Goldfield, Dows, or across the four counties that intersect our communities, they are all Cowboys and Cowgirls. It is my expectation that every member of our team gives our students their best. I am humbled and honored to lead this process daily.
As always, feel free to give me a call, send me an e-mail or stop by at an event and say hello and tell me how we are doing.
