Iowa School Finance is about as clear as the dust on your windshield as you travel the gravel roads around Clarion, Goldfield and Dows in terms of ease of understanding. And yet, the understanding of Iowa Code, Iowa Administrative Code, and other aspects of school finance are a critical component to the operation of our school district. It all starts and ends with students. Annually the State of Iowa establishes a per student rate of reimbursement for school districts to build their budget. From there, we maximize other categorical funding to ensure we meet the needs of all of our students on a daily basis.
