Things I would like my students to remember.
1. The best teacher is failure. It is the best way to learn. Set a goal, use everything at your disposal to reach it. If you fall short, evaluate why, make some changes and try again. You will reach your goal.
2. From Yoda: Do or Do Not. There is no try.
3. It is alright to be average. John Wooden defined success as the piece of mind that is gained by knowing that you did the best that you could with the ability you have. "C's" are acceptable if you have done your best. Remember that a C is as close to the top as it is to the bottom. People have strengths and weaknesses. You might excel in some areas and you might be average in others. Keep this question in mind. Why is it acceptable for others to be average, but not acceptable for yourself to be? Give me your best and will take you as far as we can go!!
