Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Elementary Announcements

 1.  Today is Wednesday, November 22, 2017.  It is Day 3.  Today is a 1:30pm dismissal for the Thanksgiving Holiday.  Classes will resume on Monday.

2.  Happy birthday to Christopher and Antonio.  Celebrating a birthday over the break are Cole, Briana, Kieden, Teddy, Selvin and Sydney.

3.  Friendly reminder that it is your responsibility to report your elementary student absent by calling the elementary school phone number  515-532-2873 and selecting option 1.  Please state your name, student’s name and the reason for their absence.  

4. Gently used holiday dresses and dress clothing is being collected for children in need for their holiday program. You may also contact Shanda Foust-Staples at sstaples@clargold.org or Sarah Kakacek at skakacek@clargold.org We will have a box available a the elementary guidance office for drop offs.  If you do not have clothing and wish to make a monetary clothing, please contact Brittany Redenius at (515) 293-1605 or email her at brittanyredenius@gmail.com 

5.  CGD Sports Boosters are selling CGD jackets and tumblers.  Order forms may be picked up in the office.   Any questions please contact one of the following:  Abby Kirstein 515-851-0042, Dee Huntley 515-368-1169, or Melissa Toomsen 515-332-6050.  Time is running out, orders must be placed by 12/8/17 if you want items by Christmas.

6.  There will be a FREE community Thanksgiving dinner on Thursday, November 23rd at the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School.  You may pick up free tickets at Super Foods.  Free will donations will be accepted at the high school.

7.  Message to all 4th grade boys from Kevin Kakacek.  We are putting together an AAU basketball team.  Please let me know by email or text if your child is interested.  Please reply with the parents name and cell number and the child’s name.  Please do this by Monday November 27th kkakacek@clargold.org 515-851-0848

8.  The lunch menu for Monday is breaded pork patty/bun, green beans, tomato slices, baby carrot and diced pears.
