Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Elementary Announcements

1.  Today is Tuesday, May 23, 2017.  It is Day 5. 

2.  Happy birthday to Hunter!  Celebrating on Aug. 11th – Tristan R., Aug. 13th – Mr. Simmons, Aug. 14th – Tristan K. and Rebecca!

3.  The district has just received approval for a summer meal program.  The district will serve lunches at four locations.  The main meal will be served at the high school.  Other locations will provide sack lunches, including the Goldfield building, Clarion Swimming Pool, and Dows Swimming Pool.  Meals are free for all individuals, age 18 years of age or younger.  Adults may also eat at a price $3.50 per meal.  Meals will be served starting Monday, June 12 through Friday, August 4.  Meals will be served Monday through Friday, with the exception of July 4th.  Meals will be served between the hours of 11:00am and 12:30pm.

4.  Cowboy Basketball Camp 2017 will be held July 24-28. It is open to boys and girls going into grades 3-6.  There is a registration fee of $50.  For more information including a registration form, contact Coach Lantzky at the High School, or visit www.mrlantzky.weebly.com.  This camp is a fundamental based camp that will help to develop the skills needed for success as future Cowboys. More importantly, it a great time!  Scholarships are available for those in need.

5.  Mrs. Downing is still accepting donations of sidewalk chalk to use with students this year. 

6.  All 5th grade AAU volleyball players must turn in their jersey to Mrs. Askelsen by Friday, May 26th – thank you!

7.  Please return all library books, pay any fines you owe and make sure that all lunch accounts are current.  Also, parents who have not paid on Spring picture packets must make that payment or return the packet by the end of the school year.

Lunch menu for Wednesday, May 23rd:  PK-3:  grilled chicken cheese melt; 4th-5th:  grill chicken cheese flatbread, corn, tomatoes, pepper strips and apple wedges.
