Register now for Clarion Swim Team. Practice starts June 4th and runs Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, and Fridays from 12:00-12:45 at the Clarion Aquatic Center. There will be no practice on Wednesdays this year. There will be 4 to 5 meets, which will either be Wednesday evenings or Saturday mornings. Cost of register is $35 for the season. Registration will be accepted at city hall or at the pool when it opens. Contact Mr. Holmes for more information or a registration form. 

 

These will be the Drivers Ed make up dates: June 1st 3:30-5:30

 

There have been some date changes for Drivers Ed.  The new dates are May 30th and May 31st after school from 3:30-5:30. June 1 and June 2 will be 8-10 in the morning. All the other dates will not change through the 13th of May.  There will be a bus provided to take kids from the Middle School to the High School and he will be parked at the north end of the building by the middle school. 6th graders, just a reminder that you will need a free reading book from home or the public library on Friday.  It can be a book you’ve already read and does NOT have to be in your Lexile.  On Friday, you will be turning in all free reading books to the school library, my room, and/or Mrs. Swanson’s room.  You will need a free reading book until the end of the year!

5th/6th grade boys’ baseball pictures are scheduled for Wed., May 31st, at Hanson Park.  First Citizens Nation Bank Giants

@ 5:30 p.m., White Sox @ 5:50 p.m.  Arrive 5 minutes before your scheduled time.  Even if you are not ordering, your

child need to be photographed with the entire team.  In case of rain we will meet in the elementary gym.

 

If you are interested in Iowa Central Girls Basketball Camps, there are forms in the office. 

 

Sports Physicals need to be done yearly prior to starting any school sponsored athlete practices. You can stop in the middle school office and pick up physical, concussion, and insurance waiver forms.

Softball practice Monday: 7th grade at 3:30, 6th grade at 4:15. Both are at the football field.

 

Any 8th graders (boys and girls) interested in Cross Country next year need to attend the preseason meeting in Mrs. Hauptsteen's classroom on Tuesday, May 23rd at 8:00am. If you can't attend, you need to email Hauptsteen at mhauptsteen@clargold.org.This is a meeting for high school cross country! 

 

There will be a meeting for 6th/7th grader students interested in going out for XC.  The meeting will be Tuesday, May 23, @ 12:45 in Mr. Jay Klaver’s room.
