    Volleyball AAU recognition tonight starting at 7:00 pm. Please be at the high school by 6:45 pm. to line up or come to watch the JV at 6:00 p.m.  Letters will be sent home with AAU participants.

    Homecoming Photo Booth!

    ​Everyone is invited to participate in the homecoming Photo Booth hosted by the Publications Class. We will have props for each day and the booth will be open during 5th hour. Eat your lunch then come over for photos! The photo booth is located next to the teacher's lounge.


    Homecoming Class Count!

    Remember each grade is in competition with one another based on participation for each day! During 5th hour report to the Homecoming Photo booth next to the teacher's lounge to check in and be counted. If you do not check in you will not be counted for your class!


    Yearbooks for sale at the Homecoming Photo Booth - cost is $45 - make sure you order your book! We completely sold out of 2016 extra copies. Don't wait to place your order!

    The SLT committee is looking for refreshments for the Homecoming Dance following the game.  If you are able to furnish bars, cookies or drinks please contact Erin Halverson or Jordyn Jondle.


    FRIENDS will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to guess how many M&M’s are in a jar during lunch today.

    1st place winner will receive 45 Large Rolls of Toilet Paper.

    2nd place winner will receive the jar of M&M’s.

    Raffle tickets are 1 for $1.00 or 6 ticket for $5.


    Friday:  The following students will be excused to participate in the ELEMENTARY school pep rally.  There will be a bus to pick us up in front of the high school at 12:15 and bring us back in time to line up for the parade at 1:00 pm.

    If you eat 3rd lunch, you should consider eating 2nd shift

    ** The only students that are allowed to drive themselves are the Homecoming court if they so choose.  Must be at Elementary gym no later than 12:20.

    All other students must ride the bus.

    This week's Maker Monday challenge is to make the Lite Brite Wall come to life! The wall is located near Mrs. Morrical's classroom. Each class will have a day to make the wall come to life. Please follow the schedule below.

    Grant Writers' Club

    Have you had a chance to visit the Makerspace? If not, go check it out! Every tool in the space is there thanks to the Grant Writers' Club!

    A grant is a sum of money given by organizations for a purpose. In this club you will learn how to write a grant and help change your school for the better. It looks great on an application and Mrs. Moore is fun to hang out with! ;)

    Our first meeting will be Friday, September 22, at 7:30 am in Mrs. Moore's classroom. Breakfast will be provided! Bring a mug if you want tea or hot cocoa.


    The REVISED vocal lesson schedule has begun.  This is a new schedule based on "Sound of Music" rehearsals.  Students: remember your new times.  Musical rehearsals are EVERY Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday from 6:00-9:00 p.m.


    CGD students are invited to the Homecoming at CAL:

    SCENTSY FUNDRAISER:

    Mrs. Leist has agreed to help the band raise money by selling Scentsy products.  All profits from this fundraiser will go towards sending the band students on their 2018 trip to Florida.  If you use the Scentsy products please consider restocking your supplies by purchasing from our fundraiser.  By purchasing through our fundraiser you receive the great Scentsy products you love at the normal prices and you will help a band member go to Florida.  Last day Sept. 27th

    The Clarion Chamber of Commerce is selling yard signs for $20 for CGD Supporters!  Purchase one at the Chamber office or at any home football, volleyball game!

    Midterms for 1st quarter are due Tuesday, Sept. 26th by 4:00 p.m.

    The Industrial Tech Club will be having a meeting on Sunday September 24th at 7:00pm in the HS library about their upcoming trip to Scotland, England, and France for all current and interested students and their parents.     WILD WEST WEDNESDAY

      From 1:30 to 3:15:  Boys Volleyball will be played in the high school gym.  (Remember busses will take students home at 1:30 so if you plan to stay, you will be responsible to find your own way home).  Teams will wear their grade color for this competition.

    From 6:30-8:00 p.m. there will be Powder Puff football games at the football stadium.  Teams will wear their grade color for this competition also.
