The Wright County Fair Board is seeking applicants for the 2018 Fair Queen Pageant.  In addition to prizes and a trip to the Iowa State Fair competition, the Queen will receive a $500 scholarship from Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association.  The contest is open to Wright County females that are at least 16 years old but not more than 21 on August 9th.  It is not necessary for applications to be 4-H or FFA members. The Wright County Fair Board is seeking applicants for the 2018 Fair Queen Pageant.  In addition to prizes and a trip to the Iowa State Fair competition, the Queen will receive a $500 scholarship from Humboldt Mutual Insurance Association.  The contest is open to Wright County females that are at least 16 years old but not more than 21 on August 9th.  It is not necessary for applications to be 4-H or FFA members. The Clarion-Goldfield-Dows Community School District has been approved for a second year of a Summer Meal Program.  The meals are free to all individuals 18 years of age and younger.  Adults may also eat at a price of $3.55 per meal.  Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Monday thru Friday.  Lunches will be served at four locations.  Hot lunch at the high school, sack lunches with one hot meal a week at the Clarion Aquatic Center, Dows Swimming Pool and Presbyterian Church in Goldfield.

7-12 MARCHING BAND:

FESTIVAL IN THE PARK PARADE INFORMATION:

WHEN:  SATURDAY, JUNE 9, at 9:00am.

*  All band students in grades 7-12 are expected to participate unless they won’t be in town for the weekend.  Parents please notify Mr. Wesselink if your child is not able to perform.

*  Band students arrive @ the Middle School by 9:00 am for a short rehearsal. The Band will be towards the front of the parade.  The parade officially begins at 10:00 am.

*  Uniform:  Dress in a RED CGD shirt and shorts (khaki, if possible)

*  Equipment:  Drumline & Tubas will be moved to the middle school for ahead of time.  Contact Mr. Wesselink if you use a school instrument and would like it moved to the Middle School for the parade.
