Photos will be held in the library this year. Because of this, students should not be in the library before school on Thursday. They should go to the cafeteria instead. When it is time for students to have their pictures taken, they should check in with Spook or Mr. Meyers at the library desk where the line will form. They are expected to wait quietly since other classes will be onging, and they should also be socially distanced in line. Everyone should keeps masks or shields on until in front of the camera.

Students are scheduled to have pictures taken according to when they have English. This is in an attempt to avoid any interference with NWEA testing for Mrs. Morrical. It is also a good way to cover all students in grades 9 - 11.

Incoming FRESHMEN - The state of Iowa requires that all 9th-grade students have a dental exam.   If you are seen for your exam over the summer, please ask your dentist or dental hygienist to fill out an exam form and return it to the Clarion-Goldfield-Dows High School office.  Fax: 515-532-2897 or to Erin Halverson: ehalverson@clargold.org   (Iowa Dental offices have this form and are aware of the mandate).

  1. Just a reminder:  We will be continuing with Silver Cord.  The purpose of this program is to instill within students the important role that community service and volunteering has in a successful community and to enhance student’s learning through direct services.  The Silver Cord is a distinguished service award available to CGDHS students who earn at least 300 hours of community volunteer service from the start of their freshmen year through May 1 of their graduating year.  The student will be recognized of this achievement by receiving a silver cord to wear at graduation.  Lots more information may be obtained by calling the high school office.  Due to the early dismissal of school and students not able to pick up blank forms for documenting summer service please write down the activity performed, the name of the coordinator at the service site and the amount of hours worked and turn into the high school office by September 1st.  Paperwork is being mailed to incoming freshmen.
